Ways To Serve Chicken Gravy

This is one of my all-time favorite go to recipes. It's comfort food in a bowl and can be served a variety of ways. My favorite way to enjoy Chicken Gravy is over warm mashed potatoes. If you are on a keto diet, enjoy it as it is!

Try drizzling it over biscuits or serving it alongside stuffing for a tasty addition to your meal.

You can pour it over cooked rice or pasta for a hearty meal.

For a twist, use it as a base for pot pie filling or mix it into casseroles for added flavor.

How to Store

To store chicken gravy, let it cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. You can then store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. If you want to keep it longer, you can freeze it for up to 3 months. Just make sure to thaw it in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.

Tips and Tricks

  • Adjust consistency: If your gravy is too thick, simply add more broth or water to thin it out. If it's too thin, you can mix a little cornstarch or flour with water and stir it in while simmering to thicken.
  • Season to taste: Taste your gravy before serving and adjust the seasoning as needed with salt, pepper, herbs, or spices to suit your preference.
  • Make it ahead: Prepare the gravy ahead of time and reheat it gently on the stovetop or in the microwave when ready to serve.
  • Customize flavors: Experiment with different ingredients like garlic, onions, mushrooms, or even a splash of soy sauce to customize the flavor profile of your gravy.
